I was recently lucky enough to be invited to attend Primark’s Autumn/Winter 2017 Press Day and oh my goodness was it everything I dreamed! I’ve always said that as a blogger I’ve set myself a few goals that I would like to achieve and getting invited to a Primark Press Day was always one of them. I particularly wanted to attend an Autumn/Winter Press Day as there’s something about that time of year that gets me that little bit more excited for the coming fashion. I traveled down to London just for the Press Day and I was not disappointed!
On entry there was a long clothing rail running almost the full length of the room filled next seasons clothing; burgundy, sparkles and sequence yet surprisingly also a section of pastel pink with blue and green. I love burgundy for the winter but was really pleased to see the section of pastels as this is usually a colour for Spring/Summer but it really worked on the pieces for winter too. In fact, one of my favourite pieces from the whole collection was a pastel pink coat, as well as a pink crushed velvet pleated midi skirt (both pictured below).
As I was handed a cool refreshing Elderflower drink I took time to appreciate the event theme and decor; I loved the pink and burgundy throughout as it matched perfectly with the main colours on offer in the seasons range. As well as colour scheme there is also an evident hit of faux fur throughout the seasons accessories including backpacks, earrings and shoes fully covered in it. I adore faux fur and will definitely be purchasing some of the covered accessories when they come out in stores!
At the back of the room I was magnetized to a pair of Kim Kardashian inspired thigh high silver boots! (see pictures below) I think along with the coats these boots were my absolute favourites! I’m not entirely sure how or even where I will wear these bad boys, but I assure you I will be trying my hardest to rock them!
Primark’s winter coats are always an absolute favourite of mine, so much so that I bought 8 last year! (I know I have a problem!) Two coats caught my eye this time, as well as the pink one I already mentioned earlier, a burgundy jacket really hit the right buttons for me and looks like it would be the perfect Autumn jacket (see picture below).
Overall Primark’s use of burgundy, pink and faux fur is basically exactly what I would want in my Autumn/Winter wardrobe and therefore I have a feeling that my bank account might hate me when the range hits stores!
I want to thank Primark for inviting me down and I leave you with more pictures of the event including me with my favourite pieces! There is also a video blog of my visit to the Press Day on my YouTube channel (video linked at the bottom of the post).
