50's Style ~ Sailor

Dress ~ Ebay
Petticoat ~ Attitude Clothing
Shoes ~ TopShop (Similar)
Clutch ~ Vintage (Similar)

Hey Ladies,

The 2nd part of my 50's swing dress collection is this cute sailor themed Hell Bunny swing dress. I bought this one a few years ago and still love wearing it to this day! It is still available to buy too (linked above) and also comes in black. I went for the navy as I thought this went well with the sailor theme.

I kept the accessories quite simple as the sailor theme itself can be quite a statement, so I added some gold courts and a similar shade of navy clutch to finish the look off. Of course, I couldn't forget my petticoat! It is the 50's after all!

What do you think, would you wear a sailor themed dress?

Tsum Tsum Villains Collection

Tsum Tsum Villains:

Hey Ladies,

Welcome to my first review blog post and my first Disney blog post too! You may have noticed on my navigation bar above that I have added some new pages; I have put all of my past outfit posts into the 'Fashion' section and have made some new sections such as the 'Disney' page! I've always wanted to do more on my blog other than just fashion outfits, so I finally made some time to set it all up! I'm hoping to add more sections in the future too such as Travel and even Baking, but for now let's see how I get on with these! I was thinking of uploading certain content on certain days but I don't feel I can commit to say Fashion on Mondays, Disney on Wednesdays and Beauty on Fridays (as much as I'd love to!), what with my YouTube which is already weekly . This is mind I will just upload whatever topics I can for the moment and see if I can get myself into set days and then hopefully topics on certain days! The new topics mean that I should be able to upload more regularly now as before I found it hard to commit to getting myself all dolled up and going to certain places to take certain images, especially on time restraints when working with companies. I have a lot on other than my blog and Youtube so it will be a lot easier for me to be able to take pictures for reviews from the comfort of my own home when I'm not able to get out and do an outfit post!

Onto the review! I always said I wouldn't collect Tsum Tsums because they'd take up too much room and I'd end up going crazy with collecting them! Here we are though, and I've got my first collection. I was lucky enough to nab all of the Disney Villains collection on release day. This being my first Disney release day buy I wasn't sure what to expect! I've heard bad things about the website crashing and releasing items before 8am, resulting in people missing out on products. Saying this however, I got onto the website a few minutes after 8am and managed to put all of the Tsum Tsums into my basket and check out without any problems by 5 past! I did notice that the Tsum Tsums were out of stock later in the day, but now they are all restocked on the website (links above) except for Maleficent as a Dragon, which if you are desperate for you might be able to find on Ebay.

The Tsum Tsums came in just under a week (which I think is a tad long for £3.99 delivery!) and all came in 1 bag, unscathed! I wasn't sure what to expect but I love all them. I can't believe that for only £3 they have so much detail on them (some more than others!) and are all really good quality. My particular favourites are Ursula and Jafar; I feel they have the most detail. Jafar has a little ring in his ear and a cute little pony tail and Ursula has her trident on her side and 8 little legs! I also really like how soft Cruella is and her crazy hair!

I'm definitely going to be getting more of the collections and a few random ones on their own that take my interest. The only thing I think Disney should do differently is add a product link where you can buy all of the collection in one go rather than having to click on them all individually and put them in your basket.

Did any of you get the collection? Do you already collect Tsum Tsums? Let me know below, I'd love to hear what you all have!

50's Style ~ Carousel

Dress ~ Doc Black (Also available on Ebay)
Clutch ~ Similar at Asos

Hey Ladies,

I have a small collection of 50's style pin up swing dresses and so I thought I'd dedicate a blog post to each one over the coming weeks.

This first dress is one of the newest to my collection; a pastel pink, white trimmed dress with carousel pattern all over. I love the extra detailing of a shoulder cover and fastening below the neck as I feel it adds a sleek, chic look to the overall appearance of the dress. I paired the dress with iridescent accessories as I felt the shimmer really set off the pastel pink and brought the outfit together.

I've always loved the fashion trends of the 50's but find it hard to incorporate the everyday 50's look into my wardrobe so I tend to wear these style of dresses to special occasions like weddings or dinners out. I love how the 50's celebrated curves and really flattered any women's shape. I definitely hope that the 50's is an era that will come back into the Fashion, like we've been seeing with the 70's and 90's the past few seasons.

Which fashion era is your favourite and is the 50's a style you would wear?

Autumn Cute

Dress ~ Primark
Trainers ~ Primark
Head piece ~ Primark

Hey Ladies,

Can you believe that it's already Autumn? It'll be Christmas before we know it! Before I get carried away with that line of thought though let's stick to the end Summer! Or lack of...

It really has been a typical British Summer again this year; 2 consecutive days of gorgeous weather and then back to usual overcast sky and a frequent rain shower. Although, it was humid for a little while but I think we're starting to see the nip of Autumn! On a brighter note, I did manage to snap this cute outfit on one of the warmer days we had; the pictures are a few weeks old now (my hairs changed!) but I think I can still get some wear out of this dress for maybe another week or 2 before it gets too cold!

This whole outfit cost less than £20 from, of course, my beloved Primark. The 'non-verse' (as I like to call them) are exact copies of Converse but without the branding and are only £6. They come in a whole array of gorgeous colours including metallic and glittery finishes! The cute floral dress is a steal at only £8 and really is very cute! I added a floral headband (which I'm sure I grabbed at the till for only 50p!) and I have myself a very cute outfit.

I can't wait to start styling some Autumn outfits; Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons!

My 2nd Blogiversary

Hey Ladies,

So although this blog post is a little late (my 2nd year Blogiversary was actually August 10th!), I still wanted to look back over my 2nd year as a blogger. I had a very busy year with my university placement and was surprised when I looked back over my last years posts to see how many blog posts I had actually managed to do before I just couldn't fit in doing any more towards the end of my placement. I got a lot busier when it got closer to assessment time.

I think the highlight of my year was being able to work with BooHoo for Valentine's Day. I produced some amazing images (if I do say so myself!) from the dresses they sent me and they are definitely ones I'll look back on with fondness for a long time. Another great thing was seeing all the different hair colours I have had this past year; pink, grey, turquoise, orange and now a mix of pink, purple and blue!

A big highlight was hitting 10k followers on my Instagram. I managed to find time to have a small celebration with my boyfriend with some giant balloons but other than that I have had such a busy year and I'm still trying to catch up on things I had to put off. I didn't really celebrate my 2nd year Blogiversary like my 1st, as I knew when starting the placement that my online life would have to take a back seat.

I think the most frustrating thing is seeing how far you've come through all of the effort you put in and then knowing that all your hard work has to take a back seat for a while. I really had to focus on my placement, but now that its over and I've had some rest and time to catch up I am definitely ready to get back into my blog! The last few weeks I've been able to regularly upload to my YouTube and I'm loving it so I'm eager to sort myself out a proper schedule and see what I can achieve with all of my ventures that I'm doing at the moment! Especially now that I have looked back over my last year's posts; I have inspired myself with what I know I can achieve when I put my mind to it!

Watch this space because there will be a lot more from me this year! Below are just a few of my favourite outfits from my 2nd year as a blogger. Hope you love them as much as I do!

Unicorns at DisneyLand Paris

Frilly Socks ~ Primark
Mickey Pumps ~ Primark
Hair Bow ~ Ebay (similar)
*PowerPuff Girls Necklace ~ The Mermaids Emporium

Hey Ladies,

So sorry about the delay in posting (again!) but as some of you may know I launched my own brand with my sister in August and along with starting back at university and other ventures I'm involved in at the moment they are all taking up a lot of my time! I have however managed to regularly upload on my Youtube for a few months now so hopefully I'll be able to add regular blog posts into my schedule too!

Onto this amazing dress from Tallulah's Threads; I love it! I have seriously not taken it off (except to wash it obviously!) since I got it. It is so comfortable to wear, I even wore it to DisneyLand Paris all day (where the above pictures were taken) and had no problems with it. I've had so many compliments on it and been asked on a number of occasions where I got it from. Tallulah's Threads has so many amazing unicorn inspired clothing and now after wearing this one I want them all! Amazing quality and sparkly pink unicorns on my clothes?! Yes please!

I wore cute accessories like a PowerPuff Girl necklace and a Little Mermaid hair bow to complement the theme of the dress. I thought them very appropriate for a DisneyLand trip!

I'm hoping to be posting more about my DisneyLand Paris trip on here and on my Youtube channel. There's already the first part of my vlogs of the trip and my merchandise haul up on my Yotube; you can find them here. I'll also be posting more videos on tips and tricks for going to DisneyLand Paris on the cheap, eating vegan while you're there and travelling from the North East of England all in the coming weeks. The installments of my vlogs are uploaded every Friday until they're all up!
